Jan Brett's "The Mitten"
Shirley Mier and Jennifer Kirkeby once again collaborate on a familiar favorite: Jan Brett's artful adaptation of The Mitten. This musical fantasia is playing at Stages Theatre through February 18, 2008.
Music-Directing Pursuits
The Mankato State University Band will perform Theme and Deviations for Band at the MMEA Midwinter Clinic on Feb. 14, 2008, 5:15 p.m. Visit MMEA for further details.
Shirley will be conducting the Century College Chamber Orchestra in White Bear Lake during 2007-08 (in addition to teaching music theory and appreciation). Spring semester concert details are:
